Larry Garris Owner, Corner Music and Corner Audio & Video    larry@cornermusic.com

  • Opened Corner Music in 1976
  • A former Aria guitar rep, Larry now sells countless brands from over 200 vendors
  • Holds a degree in Zoology from Wingate University, with additional studies in Wildlife Biology at North Carolina State University

“Sitting down for an hour with Leo Fender and chatting at the 1988 NAMM show was certainly a high point.”

 

Dan Mills - Floor Manager (Adult Supervision)    dan@cornermusic.com 

  • 25 years in vintage guitar business, 9 as manager of Gruhn Guitars 
  • 5 years with Gibson Guitars Bluegrass and Custom Shop
  • Studied mandolin and guitar with Jethro Burns (of country icons Homer and Jethro)

“Hearing myself on Super Bowl commercials was always pretty exciting (one year I was involved in three different Super Bowl ads). But playing bass with Chuck Berry, producing Dolly Parton—and seeing the Beatles live—those may be hard to top.”

“I was repairing a guitar for Mac Davis, when he did a little one-man concert right there, playing “In The Ghetto.” I’ve worked on a lot of famous people’s guitars, but I got all geeky on that one—knowing who’d recorded that song and what it meant.”
