Breedlove Oregon Series Concert - Spruce/Myrtlewood
Breedlove's Oregon Series guitars grab your attention with their striking myrtlewood sides and back, but they keep it with their rich tone. They offer a unique look, outstanding features, great sound and incredible value in an all American-made guitar.
The comfortable concert-size body is curvaceous, lightweight and extremely balanced tonally. We love the unique, ash-blonde look of myrtlewood. And herringbone trim with contrasting black binding really set it off. But we're also big on its sound (think: mahogany-meets-maple). It balances well with the solid Sitka Spruce top, offering clarity along with plenty of bass.
The neck is shallow but sturdy; the 1 3/4" ebony fingerboard is great for either finger picking or strumming. And the LR Baggs EAS pickup lets you play anywhere. Breedlove set out to produce a cost-efficient, all-USA-made guitar without cutting corners. The Oregon Series succeeds in a big way.
Why We Like Breedlove Guitars
Breedlove guitars are a little different—good different. They offer different tone woods than other makers (like myrtlewood, native to their Pacific Northwest location). They use different body dimensions to get a fuller sound than you’d expect. Their necks are a breeze to play. Offering both import and American-made models, they’re excellent instruments and values.
