Gibson Hummingbird Custom - Ebony

Back to List
Call to Special Order

When Gibson produced their first square-shouldered flat-top in the early 1960s (to compete with Martin’s popular-but-plain dreadnoughts), they took a decidedly flashier approach. The result was the Hummingbird, with big sound and stage-worthy looks—perfect for a new generation of rockers and rhinestone-country artists.

The new Hummingbird Custom builds on the classic features that players expect, with Les Paul Custom-inspired cosmetics. The Sitka spruce top, and mahogany back and sides get Gibson’s traditional nitrocellulose lacquer finish, but in a classy ebony finish with multi-ply binding on both top and back.

Additional features include a mahogany neck and rebony fingerboard with M.O.P block inlays, Hummingbird pickguard, gold Grover rotomatic tuners, bone nut and saddle, brass bridge pins and LR Baggs Session VTC electronics. A hardshell case is included.
