Larrivée L09 RW - Sitka Spruce/Rosewood

We're big fans of Larrivée's slope-shouldered guitars and this lefty is a great example. While they’re smaller than a dreadnought, they deliver plenty of authority—what we call "whomp"—a wonderful balance of lows and mids with articulate highs.

The spruce top and rosewood back/side combination offers plenty of clarity on top and smooth, pronounced low end, giving this a mature, woody, "played-in" sound.

The L-09 RW has a solid African Ebony fretboard & bridge, single piece Mahogany neck, Canadian maple binding, bone saddle, bone nut, and bone bridge pins.  Other features include a mother-of-pearl logo, Grover 18:1 open back tuners, non-shrink tortoise pick guard, double action truss rod, hardshell case and a lifetime warranty.

Why We Like Larrivée Guitars

Jean Larrivée has always made fine guitars. HIs guitars are sturdy, with rich sound in a refined package. Larrivée has one of the largest collections of fine tone woods, often supplying wood to other guitar makers—even some of his main competitors. While the company’s roots are decidedly Canadian, most instruments are now built in their California factory.
