Ampeg V-4B 100W Bass Amp

  • Description
  • Features

The original V-4B turned heads in 1971 with its thumping 100-watt tube presence. Since then, amps might have gotten bigger and louder, but they haven't gotten any better.

3-band tone controls are ony the start. Three rocker switches give you additional ultra-high, ultra-low and Mid EQ control. Gain and Master let you crank it up and grind with the best of 'em.

This is one great rock and roll amp—a legendary performer.

For a speaker cabinet, we recommend the handsome and very powerful SVT212 AV cabinet, sold separately. It not only matches the V-4B's classic looks, but with its 600-watt rating, it's absolutely up to anything you give it.

Why We Like Ampeg Bass Amps

The Ampeg name is synonymous with bass. From the classic Portaflex amps that were seen on nearly every bandstand and recording studio in the early 1960s, to the massive SVT heads and cabinets that still define arena-caliber touring rigs, Ampeg has always meant great bass amplification. Clean, classic low-end tone has always been a given. Stage-rattling power and road-defying build quality have only added to the legend.

We’ve seen a lot of excellent bass amp designs come and go, but these amps just keep pumping it out—nothing has weathered over 60 years of bass amplification like Ampeg. We know it works. That’s why we like it.
