Fender Rumble series amps are the easy way to get great bass tone in a single, lightweight package. A smartly designed, Class D solid-state head powers a high-efficiency speaker, giving you an all-in-one bass amp that won’t break your back.
The Rumble 40 is compact—just 18 lbs.—but it delivers solid bass tone from a special design 10” speaker. It’s a great practice amp (1/8” headphone out is included) and ideal for recording sessions where you need a small monitor in the room.
The Rumble 40 is perfect for acoustic groups or jazz gigs: plenty of volume, and with its XLR line out, you can go directly into the mixer—you don’t have to fill the whole room from the stage. Just use the amp as an onstage monitor and let the PA do the heavy lifting.
All Rumble series amps feature 4-band EQ plus 3 tone-shaping switches for plenty of tonal range. Choose Bright for extra high end; Contour for extra lows; or Vintage for classic Fender bass tone and balance. There’s also an Overdrive section (with optional footswitch) for additional edge and more contemporary drive.
Easy to carry and easy on your wallet, you can expect to be pleasantly surprised by the big sound coming from this little amp.
Why We Like Fender Rumble Series Bass Amps
Over the past 60+ years, Fender has marketed a lot of products for bass players—no company has deeper electric bass roots—and the Fender amps that have stayed within range of the original Bassman designs of the 50s-60s have been consistent performers through every era. Put simply, Fender knows how to do bass.
While we love heavy-duty, window-rattling bass rigs, the new Rumble series offers plenty of serious low end and great Fender sound in convenient, lightweight, cost-efficient packages. For clubs, churches, sessions, rehearsals—anywhere you don’t need an arena-sized rig (and roadies)—the Rumble series is hard to beat.
