The original, and still favorite, semi-hollowbody—the Gibson ES-335 has been a go-to for guitarists for over 50 years. The 335 offers unmatched tonal versatility and has been the first-call axe for studio and stage players in jazz, rock, country (and just about anything else) since its introduction in 1958. Even here in "Twang Town," it would be hard to find a serious Nashville studio picker who doesn't have a 335 in their arsenal!
The resonant 3-ply maple body with maple center block and 2 humbucking pickups provide depth and power, with plenty of punch and attack. These classic instruments are based on a traditional platform, but they can definitely hang with anything you want to play. Highly recommended!
