Why We Like Gretsch Electromatic Guitars
The Gretsch Electromatic nameplate signifies the company’s line of guitars built in Korea. The guitars are very well made, the electronics/pickups are really good and quality control is excellent (we’ve had several players say these are better-made guitars than some of the old NY-made instruments). We really like Gretsch’s classic looks and distinctive tone—and nobody else makes a Bigsby look as cool. With the Electromatic’s recent improvements, including “Black Top” Filter’Tron pickups and the addition of new center-block models, you can’t find a better, more economical way to get “that great Gretsch sound.”
