Epiphone Joe Bonamassa 1962 ES-335 Sixties Cherry with Hardshell Case
Some guitars are more special than others. In 1996, Joe Bonamassa purchased a cherry red 1962 Gibson ES-335 and used it on his first solo album, A New Day Yesterday. In 2001, he regrettably sold the guitar to help fund his move from New York to LA. As the 20th anniversary of Joe's first record approached, an unexpected phone call resulted in Joe being reunited with his old friend, the cherry red ES-335 that propelled him through his first solo album and funded him a new life on the West Coast. Now here's your chance to own Epiphone's recreation of that guitar — 1 of only 2,000 made!
The body is made from layered maple for warm, balanced tone. The mahogany neck is equipped with a 24.75" scale and 12" radius Indian laurel fingerboard for Gibson familiarity and smooth playability, while two vintage-voiced Gibson Burstbucker pickups deliver true old-school PAF tone. This semi-hollow is also set apart with a Maestro Vibrola Tailpiece. A hardshell case is included.
