Fender 1963 Precision Bass NOS - Burgundy Mist Metallic/Rosewood
This beautiful Fender Custom Shop creation is an attention getter. It features a Burgundy Mist Metallic nitro lacquer body finish and matching headstock with a mint-green pickguard, plus all the classic nickel/chrome body hardware (pickup cover and “ashtray” bridge cover). Throwback…? Maybe. Gorgeous…? Absolutely!
The maple neck is a “60s oval “C”—also with nitro lacquer finish—topped with a rosewood fretboard with 21 vintage-style frets. The pickup is a ’59-’62-style split-coil routed through simple flat-top, knurled Volume/Tone controls. The hardshell case is a period-correct brown Tolex.
This is as one of our favorite instruments to arrive from the Custom Shop. We don’t expect it to be here long.
