American Original ’50s Telecaster LH - Butterscotch Blonde
This really is the guitar that’s done it all. Leo Fender’s original “plank” guitar has defined the sound of country for decades, and found its place in R&B, blues, rock, jazz and even metal. Ultra-simple in design and function, the straightforward, ringing Tele tone has defined hits in just about every popular genre for over 60 years. The new Fender Original ’50s Telecaster captures the tone, look and vibe of those early, essential blue-collar favorites, while adding modern feel and pickup switching to this classic guitar.
For authentic sound, two Pure Vintage ’52 single-coil Telecaster pickups are as period-correct as possible, from the enamel-coated coil wire to the cloth-covered output wires, fiber bobbins and alnico 3 magnets. Fender even made sure the steel base plates are copper-plated, while the pickups’ pole pieces are flush-mounted like the originals.
And for true-to-original feel, the thick “U”- shaped neck offers a comfortably chunky feel, with an easy-playing 9.5”-radius fingerboard with vintage-tall frets. Lastly, vintage- style hardware (including three brass-barrel bridge saddles), a nitrocellulose lacquer finish and vintage-style hardshell case complete the package. Set the time machine for the 1950s and enjoy the ride.
