This Brian Setzer model Gretsch is one of the most striking we've seen. We love the Candy Blue Burst finish. The straightforward control layout is designed to plug and play. As one of the guys here said: "Now, that's a stage guitar!"
The Hot Rod is also one of the best-playing guitars, set up perfectly for easy chording and leads. It's stripped down and simple, too, with two custom TV Jones Brian Setzer Filter’Tron humbuckers (designed for slightly higher output), a three-position pickup switch and single —count ‘em: ONE!— master volume control.
The single-cutaway bound hollow body has an arched top, 1959-style trestle bracing and oversized f-holes; the two-piece maple neck has a bound rosewood fingerboard with compound-radius (9.5"-12") and Neo Classic thumbnail inlays. Other features include Gotoh locking tuners, pinned Adjusto-Matic bridge and Bigsby B6C vibrato tailpiece. Simple as it gets.

Why We Like Gretsch Guitars
Whether you associate the Gretsch brand with the Chet Atkins' impeccable country style, rockabilly’s swagger, the '60s British invasion or music’s newest hitmakers, Gretsch guitars have a unique vibe and appeal. We really like Gretsch’s classic looks and distinctive tone—and nobody else makes a Bigsby look as cool. We also appreciate recent improvements geared toward modern players. But with all the new refinements, there’s still nothing more eye-catching than a timeless Gretsch.
