The Heil PR 30 is an outstanding broadcast microphone, with flat frequency response, and smooth upper-mid articulation. Its excellent internal pop filtering, even response and directional cardioid pattern makes this mic a standard for TV/radio/voiceover applications.
The PR 30 features a wide frequency range that sounds like a ribbon but can withstand significant input. The humbucking coil, combined with extensive shock mounting, allows the PR 30 to run nearly noise-free, even in close proximity to computers, neon signs or other electrical sources.
In addition to excelling for broadcast/voiceover, the PR 30's high SPL-handling capability and tight pickup pattern make it a favorite for stage use on toms and cymbals. It’s also recommended for guitar amps/cabinets, bass and Leslie cabinets.
* For similar applications where space is a premium, we recommend the Heil PR 31 BW —same great components in a 4" housing.
