Moog Grandmother  -  Semi-Modular Eurorack Analog Synthesizer and Step Sequencer

The Moog Grandmother is a real “best-of” design for many players: The semi-modular analog design lets you start playing and building sounds immediately without patching. The arpeggiator and sequencer let you create/save 3 sequences for instant recall. Its 32-note Fatar keybed feels and plays great. And at 16 lbs, it’s plenty portable but also plenty solid enough for any assignment.

Dual analog oscillators feature triangle, saw, and square waves. There’s an oscillator mixer (for noise generation) and a utility section with patchable 1-pole highpass filter and bipolar attenuator.

The 4-pole ladder filter features a key-tracking switch with large controls that are easy to find on the gig. Other features include an analog LFO and ADSR envelope generator, and a dedicated fader to control envelope sustain.

The Grandmother features a real analog spring reverb (a first for Moog), because there’s just no other way to get the spring reverb sound and vibe. Digi emulations don’t do it justice—so the folks at Moog decided to simply include the real deal.

Because no patching is necessary, you can start playing as is. But the Grandmother is built for integration, with 41 patch points (including 21 ins, 16 outs, and a 4-jack passive mult).  DIN MIDI In, Out, and Thru ports, plus USB MIDI lets you hook up to just about any modular or Eurorack unit or computer.
