LSL Saticoy Custom HSS Heavy Relic Seafoam Green

Back to List

LSL Saticoy Custom HSS Heavy Relic  -  Seafoam Green

This LSL Saticoy Strat-style guitar is lightweight, easy to play and has the deep, distressed appearance of a ’50s-era road warrior but the net result is an axe that looks as experienced and soulful as it sounds.

"Ivie" is a great guitar (LSL gives their guitars names as part of a serial number). The thin Seafooam Green nitro finish is purposely allowed to crack, so that the instrument breathes. The neck is a "Medium/Thick C” shape, with similarities of an old 50's style Fender "Baseball Bat" neck, very comfortable, with aged toner and down-to-the-wood relic-ing. The roasted flame maple fingerboard features a 9.5” radius for comfortable, fast action.

Pickups are all hand-wound by LSL. Single-coils sound just like an old Strat should, and the humbucker bridge offers clean punch. A 5-position switch lets you get every last wonderful bit of quack.

Every LSL is made by hand—just the way you’d make it, if you could, with lightweight ash, alder, korina or sugar pine bodies. They work on each guitar until it’s finished. As a matter of fact, company owner Lance Lerman says, “We build them all for ourselves but then we have to sell them.” You can tell.

Why We Like LSL Guitars

Imagine you unearthed a stash of electric guitars made in California in the '50s: lightweight ash, alder or sugar pine bodies; thin, nitrocellulose finishes; hand-wound pickups; hand-cut bodies and hand-shaped necks—pretty much hand everything. And not surprisingly, they sound great and feel like that old guitar your uncle has owned since high school. You’d be as excited about them as we are.
