Valiant Guitars are handcrafted in Ukraine. The company was started by two brothers with over 30 years of luthier and building experience—and you can tell. The Soothsayer is based on the innovation era of the 1950 featuring a familiar design with modern features for today's musician. If you've been looking for a custom-made instrument that sounds as good as it looks (but didn't want to pay "Custom Shop" prices), look no further.
This Soothsayer features a lightweight Alder body (6.8lbs!!) with a distressed sonic blue finish.The finish treatment is tasteful and allows the instrument to breathe, and it truly plays like a well-worn classic. The maple neck features a comfortable "C" profile, while a 12" maple fingerboard with jumbo frets allows for easy playing.
This one is also super versatile. Loaded with Valiant's own Triad single-coil pickups, the top controls include Master Volume and no-load Tone and 5-way pickup select. These pickups offer classic "strat" tones but can handle gritty rock and metal. Gotoh 2-Point 510 series bridge and Gotoh locking tuners provide great tuning stability. A hardshell case is included.
