The new-generation Dano '57 captures the same look and sound as the original U2 model, prized by tone aficionados worldwide. Featuring lightweight, semi-hollowbody construction with plywood frames and masonite (hardboard) tops and backs, it’s crafted to deliver that iconic Danelectro tone and style.
Built to higher quality standards than previous models, the Dano '57 has an easy-playing neck with excellent action, offering comfort and stability. Paired with a U3 tunable bridge/tailpiece, these updates make this model far more dependable than its predecessors.
The Dano '57 is equipped with upgraded Lipstick-tube alnico pickups, famous for delivering Danelectro’s unique ‘quacky’ tone. These pickups retain the character of the originals but with added punch and reduced noise.
Additional features include a clear pickguard, two stacked volume/tone knobs, and a 3-position pickup selector switch.
