This is a pretty unique build from Eastman,pairing a solid European spruce top with solid flamed maple back and sides. The maple keeps the sound clear, tight, and focused, while the spruce gives it plenty of dynamics and headroom. It has great note separation for fingerstyle, but still has enough punch to dig into some strumming.
The sound port is a nice touch, giving you more of the guitar’s natural voice from the player’s position. The Traditional Even "C" maple neck, 12" ebony fingerboard, 1 3/4" bone nut, and arm contour also make this a really comfortable guitar to spend some time with.
It’s got an LR Baggs Element EAS VTC pickup system for plugging in, and visually there’s a lot to like here too. The Sunburst top, figured maple binding, abalone maple-leaf inlays, tortoise pickguard, and gold Gotoh tuners give it a really sharp look without going overboard.
Overall, this is a cool option if you want something a little different from the usual acoustic formula. The flamed maple gives it plenty of personality both visually and tonally, and it comes with a hardshell case.
