The Eastman AR372CE: A Well-Made, Extremely Reasonably Priced Electric Archtop
This full-hollowbody electric archtop is crafted in the style of the classic instruments from Kalamazoo, known for their use on countless jazz recordings and live performances. It features a laminated maple top, back, and sides, delivering articulate attack and the classic archtop tone. The Florentine cutaway offers easy access to the upper frets, and the humbucking pickups provide the smooth, fat tone typical of a traditional “jazz box.”
Additional Features: A 3-piece maple neck with a bound rosewood fretboard and parallelogram pearloid inlays, a high-gloss blonde nitrocellulose finish, multi-ply binding, bound f-holes, and a 4-ply pickguard. The adjustable rosewood bridge and individual enclosed tuners complete the vintage aesthetic.
Two Kent Armstrong HPAG1 Humbucking Pickups are routed through a 2 Volume/2 Tone control circuit, providing a simple yet effective setup for quintessential jazz tone and performance.
