Eastman offers first-rate, affordable guitars and mandolins that easily compete with the best traditional brands. The Limited Edition SB58-TV has quickly become a staff favorite here at Corner Music, and it’s easy to see why.
The SB58-TV features a stunning solid carved maple top over a one-piece mahogany body, giving it a classic look and feel. The neck is made from solid mahogany, topped with an ebony fretboard adorned with pearl crown inlays. It has a very playable “C” profile with just the right amount of heft. Both the top and fingerboard are bound in ivoroid, adding a touch of elegance. The Truetone gloss finish not only looks fantastic but also enhances the instrument's tone and aging process.
What really sets the SB58-TV apart is its sound. Equipped with a pair of Lollar pickups, this guitar delivers all the attack and sustain you’d expect from a maple/mahogany classic. The custom wound soapbar P-90 at the neck provides a creamy single-coil tone, while the Imperial humbucker at the bridge offers the perfect mix of grit and clarity.
We’re big fans of the original American favorites, but for the money, these Eastmans are hard to beat. And to top it all off, a hardshell case is included, making it easy to take this beauty on the road. It’s also a very nice weight (for a LP-style guitar) at 8lbs 4oz.
*Please note: This color is hard to make 100% accurate in photos. In some lighting, it can appear to be a seafoam green, but it is very much a faded blue. The pictures do not do the finish justice. Think robins egg blue or a nice aged/faded daphne blue color.
