Eastman’s T486B-GB takes an already-outstanding guitar and gives it even more attitude with the addition of 2 Seymour Duncan Phat Cat single-coil pickups and a Bigsby vibrato tailpiece. With 2 x Alnico 2-bar magnets and metal covers, the Phat Cats offer more sustain, more bite and less noise than standard P-90s.
This center-block 16” thinline offers features normally found on guitars costing 2-3 times as much. In addition to the gold burst finish, the T486B-SB features flamed maple laminate top, back and sides, and an ebony fretboard with split-block parallelogram inlays. The body and neck are bound in a multi-ply ivoroid, for an even more-polished presentation. Chrome hardware gives the guitar plenty of shine without going over the top.
