Epiphone 1963 Firebird V 2024 - Ember Red
Epiphone 1963 Firebird V 2024 - Ember Red
Epiphone’s 1963 Firebird V is a spot-on tribute to Gibson’s iconic Firebird V in all its vintage glory. This guitar’s 9-piece laminate mahogany/walnut neck-through construction and mahogany wings perfectly recreate the Firebird V. It’s finished off with all of the Firebird V’s historic quirks, including a stepped headstock, phoenix pickguard, and banjo-style planetary tuners from Kluson.
The Epiphone 1963 Firebird V’s dual Gibson USA-made Firebird pickups are clear and bright with a nice cut-through-the-mix sound. Don't mistake these pickups for Gibson's Mini Humbuckers—they're unique all on their own! These pickups have a humbucker like depth while also delivering single-coil like sparkle. The best of both worlds.
Gibson’s original 1963 Firebird arrived with several distinct variations, from single to triple-pickup versions, some even equipped with vibratos. This Epiphone 1963 Firebird V represents what most Firebird fans consider the guitar’s most iconic iteration—packing two Firebird humbucking pickups, mother-of-pearl trapezoid inlays, and classy neck binding. However, our favorite feature is the Maestro Vibrola tailpiece. It's a remarkably stable and expressive vibrato system that sends this ’bird right over the aesthetic edge. A hardshell case is included.
