Epiphone B.B. King Lucille 2009 - Ebony
Epiphone B.B. King Lucille 2009 - Ebony
Capture that classic blues tone and stage presence with this used Epiphone B.B. King Lucille in sleek black, modeled after the legendary Gibson Lucille that B.B. King himself favored. This semi-hollow electric is in good shape for its age, with a handful of scuffs and marks (including a decent-sized ding on the back that’s tough to photograph but definitely there)—a sign that this Lucille’s been played, not just admired. The original tort pickguard has been replaced with a solid black one, and the truss rod cover has also been replaced. The originals are not included.
It’s built with a laminated maple top and body, minus the F-holes, which means better feedback resistance—perfect for higher volume blues jams or those smooth, sustained notes. The set maple neck and rosewood fretboard with block inlays feel just right under the fingers, while the gold hardware, TP-6 fine-tuning tailpiece, and engraved “Lucille” on the headstock bring that vintage-inspired vibe.
This one’s got a little extra soul, too: the original humbuckers have been swapped out for a pair of gold Seymour Duncan Phat Cat P90s, giving it a rawer, more open tone that’s fantastic for blues, rock, and beyond. The gold hardware has some patina, adding even more character.
It comes with a case to keep Lucille safe, making it a great choice for any player who wants that B.B. King vibe with modern reliability and a touch of well-earned road wear.
