This Epiphone Joe Bonamassa ’59 Les Paul Custom in Antique Ebony comes from Epiphone’s ongoing collaboration with Joe Bonamassa, where they recreate specific vintage guitars from his collection in a more accessible, gig-ready format. This one is inspired by a late-’50s Les Paul Custom and keeps things classic, simple, and very true to the original vibe.
It’s an all-mahogany Les Paul, so you get that deep, warm midrange and long, natural sustain that Customs are known for. The ’59 Rounded Medium C neck has a comfortable, broken-in feel — substantial enough to feel vintage, but still easy to move around on.
The ProBucker Custom humbuckers are voiced in the vintage PAF direction — open, dynamic, and responsive to your picking and volume knob. They do a great job of covering blues, classic rock, and anything where touch and feel matter more than raw output.
Cosmetically, it nails the Les Paul Custom look. The Antique Ebony finish, aged binding, block inlays, and Grover Imperial tuners give it that understated, old-school Custom feel that looks just as good on a stand as it does on stage.
