This is a pretty awesome one for the Halestorm fans — the Epiphone Lzzy Hale Explorer Custom in Black Diamond Holographic Sparkle. It’s definitely not a guitar that’s trying to blend into the background, and the mirror pickguard + sparkle finish look seriously cool in person.
The mahogany body and set mahogany neckgive it a nice warm foundation with plenty of sustain, while the SlimTaper ’60s C neck and 12" ebony fingerboard keep it feeling quick and comfortable. The 24.75" scale and medium-jumbo frets make it easy to get around the neck without feeling too modern or unfamiliar.
It’s loaded with a pair ofProBucker Ignite humbuckers, which have plenty of output and punch while still keeping things clear when you start pushing the amp. With two Volume controls, a Master Tone, and the 3-way toggle, it keeps the controls pretty straightforward.
TheBlack Diamond Holographic Sparkle finish is really the star of the show, though. Add the mirror pickguard and Explorer shape and you've got a guitar with a whole lot of attitude. It’s also a pretty manageable 8 lbs 4 oz, considering the size of the body.
