The Fender Player Mustang PJ Bass brings back an old—and often overlooked—favorite. Like Fender’s original short-scale bass, the Mustang Bass PJ's 30" scale is easy to play. And this one adds new sounds to the classic look, thanks to the combination of the most popular bass pickups ever.

This updated version of the 1964 original is perfect for players with smaller frames, small hands or a shorter reach. But don’t be fooled into thinking this is a student instrument—it brings plenty of muscle and power, with a Precision Bass split-coil pickup in the middle and Jazz Bass single-coil pickup in the bridge position.

You can count on plenty of thunder, growl, pop or finesse. It’s all here in a fun-to-play throwback style.
