Geoff Gould invented the carbon-fiber composite neck* and his basses are some of the nicest in our store—and this one lives up to the reputation.
This GGi5 Koa features a striking bookmatched Koa top, over a lightweight swamp ash body. The graphite neck has a 24-fret phenolic fingerboard with classic pearl dots and a comfortable 35” scale. Tuners are black Gotoh Res-o-lites.
The electronics package features EMG X pickups/electronics system with Volume, Blend, and separate active Bass and Treble controls. The 18V power supply offers more headroom and sonic range. The bass comes with a set of G. Gould Custom-Blend Taper-Core strings—they sound great and create less wear on the fingerboard. Great tone to match the gorgeous look. This is one amazing bass.
