The Explorer wasn’t Gibson’s biggest-seller, but when they produced the first ones back in the ’50s, it showed that the old traditional guitar company wasn’t afraid to be daring. Over 60 years later, the Explorer is utilized by artists of many genres, making it a true classic.
The all-mahogany body with ebony finish, set-neck construction, rosewood fingerboard, and slim taper neck provide incredible classic looks, sound, and playability.
Plug it in and it’s all Gibson muscle. The 80s Tribute humbucking pickups deliver plenty of bite, but can also be rolled back to clean up the tone—if that’s what you need. This one is ready to take a solo. Hardshell case is included.
