Gibson Hummingbird Original 2024 - Antique Natural
Gibson Hummingbird Original 2024 - Antique Natural
When Gibson produced their first square-shouldered flat-top in the early 1960s (to compete with Martin’s popular-but-plain dreadnoughts), they took a decidedly flashier approach. The result was the Hummingbird, with big sound and stage-worthy looks—perfect for a new generation of rockers and rhinestone-country artists.
The new Hummingbird Original blends modern construction with vintage appointments. The Sitka spruce top, and mahogany back and sides get Gibson’s traditional nitrocellulose lacquer finish, for classic Hummingbird tone that only improves with age and use.
Additional features include a mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard with parallelogram inlays, etched Hummingbird pickguard, gold Grover Keystone tuners, double-antiqued binding, bone nut and saddle, and LR Baggs VTC electronics. A hardshell case is included. This guitar weighs 4lbs 8oz.
