The WR-7 is an innovative instrument for guitar players looking to replicate the authentic sound of a banjo. Tuned like a 6-string guitar, it features doubled strings on the low E—one standard and one octave higher—allowing you to achieve the clawhammer drone effect characteristic of a banjo’s 5th string.
Designed by Wayne Rogers, the WR-7 is user-friendly for any guitarist, eliminating the need to learn banjo tuning and technique. Its traditional open-back banjo construction ensures a rich, authentic tone. The WR-7 also includes a pre-installed SMP pickup and a gig bag for easy transport.
