The G5232T Double Jet is a fun one. It has that unmistakable Gretsch look, but the chambered mahogany body gives it a little more warmth and punch than you might expect from the shape. And that Caicos Green finish definitely doesn’t hurt.
The Black Top Filter’Trons are the real character here. They have that familiar Gretsch combination of humbucker fullness with a little extra bite and clarity on top, so they can get clean and chimey or push into some thicker tones without losing their definition. The two pickup volumes, master volume, master tone, and 3-way switch give you plenty to work with without overcomplicating things.
The 24.6" scale and Thin U mahogany neck make it feel pretty comfortable, and the 12" laurel fingerboard with medium-jumbo frets has a nice modern feel. Then you get the Adjusto-Matic bridge and Bigsby B50 for adding some wobble when the song calls for it.
