Gretsch G6122TG Players Edition Country Gentleman 2024 - Walnut Stain
Gretsch G6122TG Players Edition Country Gentleman 2024 - Walnut Stain
As much as we appreciate the original ‘50s/‘60s Chet Atkins Country Gentleman, it’s safe to say that Chet would have embraced the updated, performance-oriented features of this new version. While it retains the refined aesthetic of the ’62 edition, the Players Edition design seamlessly brings this classic model into the 21st century.
Two FT-67 Filter’Tron humbucking pickups deliver open, clean power without feedback. Modern controls—including separate bridge and neck volume controls, a 3-way switch, and no-load master tone and volume—provide ample tonal variations. Squeezebox paper-in-oil caps add vintage warmth, while the treble bleed circuit ensures clarity when rolling back the volume.
The maple neck features a comfortable “U” shape; the 22-fret ebony fretboard showcases classic Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays. The new string-through Bigsby B6GP vibrato tailpiece and pinned “rocking” bar bridge, combined with the GraphTech TUSQ XL nut, guarantee stable tuning and quick string changes. Every detail on this flame-top beauty is both deluxe and ultra-functional. A remarkable guitar that we believe Chet would be proud of.
Includes a deluxe hardshell case. This guitar weighs 7 lbs 6 oz.
