The Kernom RIDGE Overdrive is an unusually versatile, all-analog guitar overdrive pedal designed to cover almost the entire spectrum of drive tones, from a transparent clean boost to thick, high-gain distortion and borderline fuzz. Its defining feature is that it lets you change the characteroftheoverdriveitself, rather than simply switching between preset types of drive.
Think of the RIDGE as several different boutique overdrive pedals combined into one, with the ability to blend continuously between their tonal characteristics.
Clean boost: Adds volume, clarity and headroom while retaining much of your guitar and amplifier's natural character.
Transparent overdrive: Warm, open, touch-sensitive breakup in the vein of a Klon-style drive.
Mid-focused overdrive: A Tube Screamer-like punch that helps your guitar cut through a dense band mix.
High-gain drive: More saturation, compression and sustain for rock leads and heavier riffs.
Fuzzy distortion: Aggressive, raw tones that approach fuzz, useful for alternative rock, grunge and more unruly sounds.
