At first glance, this LSL Bad Bone 2 might resemble another boutique builder's modernized Tele—but we like this one just a little bit better. This Bad Bone 2 boasts a striking Fiesta Red finish over a lightweight alder body, with extra comfortable forearm, tummy, and hand contours. It retains all the traditional spank and sparkle you'd expect from a T-style classic.
Pimento (LSL names each guitar as part of its serial number) features a thin nitro finish, allowing the guitar to breathe and age naturally. This model shows plenty of weather checking and light relic wear, giving it a vintage, well-played look. The quartersawn roasted maple neck is shaped in a comfortable "Medium C" profile with an aged toner finish.
The pickups are hand-wound by LSL, delivering vintage PAF-style humbucker tones, with the added versatility of a push/pull coil split for classic Tele tones. This guitar is as versatile as it is cool—definitely not your grandpa’s Tele!
Every LSL is made by hand, ensuring that each guitar receives the meticulous attention it deserves. As LSL founder Lance Lerman says, “We build them all for ourselves, but then we have to sell them.” The care and craftsmanship shine through in every instrument.
