The 00L-16E is a pretty fun take on the Martin 16 Series. Small 00 body, short 24.9" scale, all-solid construction, and a Blue Denim top that gives it a little more personality than the usual Natural Martin.
It’s an easy guitar to pick up and just play. The shorter scale and Modified Low Oval neck make the fretting hand feel relaxed, while the 00 body keeps the guitar compact without feeling tiny. The spruce and mahogany combination gives it a focused, woody voice that works especially well for fingerstyle, lighter strumming, and playing around the house.
Martin kept the appointments pretty classicwith the ebony fingerboard, bone nut and saddle, open-gear nickel tuners, and 1955 Style 18 dots. The gloss Blue Denim top over the satin-finished body is probably the detail that makes this one stand out, though. It’s different without looking like Martin was trying too hard to make it different.
There’s also an LR Baggs Element VTConboard for plugging in, and at just 4 lbs, it’s a really easy guitar to live with. Comes with a softshell case.
