Introduced in 1965, the D-35 was born from Martin’s innovation during a time of rosewood scarcity. By using smaller pieces of wood to craft its now-famous three-piece back, Martin created a guitar with a unique voice that caught the attention of legends like Johnny Cash and Bruce Springsteen. The D-35’s timeless tone continues to captivate musicians today.
