The MXR M234 Analog Chorus is a versatile analog chorus pedal that adds depth, shimmer, and spaciousness to your guitar tone. It can make a clean guitar sound lush and wide, thicken distorted tones, or create a pronounced swirling effect for atmospheric music.
Its defining feature is its five controls, including separate LOW and HIGH EQ adjustments that let you shape the character of the chorus effect more precisely than many simpler chorus pedals.
What does it sound like?
Shimmering and spacious: Adds the impression of multiple guitars playing together, giving clean chords a fuller sound.
Warm and smooth: Its analog circuitry produces a classic chorus character suited to clean guitar tones and sustained notes.
Subtle or dramatic: Low settings add gentle thickness, while higher Depth settings create a more obvious, watery modulation.
Rich and dimensional: Particularly effective for arpeggios, open chords, sustained lead notes, and ambient textures.
The M234 is a great fit for pop, indie, alternative rock, funk, classic rock, and 1980s-inspired guitar sounds.
