The Radial ProAV1 is a single-channel, passive direct box specifically developed for audio-video integration. With multiple input formats and a mono-stereo merge function, it’s ideal for nearly any A/V use.
The ProAV1 is essential for sending the signal from your iPhone, iPad, computer, or other iOS devices to a PA or recording mixer. Here’s why: The signal from your 3.5mm (1/8") consumer-device output is too hot for most recording or audio mixers. By converting the output impedance, you get much better sound—higher highs, deeper lows, and noticeably cleaner, better response.
The ProAV1's custom-wound transformers withstand exceptionally hot levels while maintaining a warm and natural sound—making the AV1 particularly adept at handling high-output, harsh-sounding digital sources.
The AV1 also eliminates the need for adaptors with multiple connections, including:
1/4" for instruments
RCA and 1/8" connectors for consumer electronics and computers
+4dB XLR input(s) for professional systems
Front panel connectors can also be used as thru-puts to allow multiple patch points, while transformer isolation eliminates ground loops (no more audio hum and buzz, video hum bars, or snow).
