Fender paved the road in terms of electric guitar tone and design, but for those of us who want to see it turned on its head, the Paranormal series is where we get off.
The Cyclone magically melds the smaller, more ergonomic body style of the mustang with the sonic versatility of a Strat.
All the staple features are here, but design has been distorted to give a modern vibe to the already versatile tonal characteristics. Alnico single-coil pickups offer up the gamut ranging from warm, bell-like tones to bright, spanky pop. The comfortable slim neck profile is just one more subtle addition into the modern transition.
Developing new concepts while having such a powerful past can be a daunting task. The Paranormal series elegantly proves that Fender is still has creative muscle, but knows when not to fix what ain't broken.
