Squier's Paranormal series effectively takes components from many of Fender's most famous designs and turns them on their head, mixing and matching specs to create fresh, brand new experiences. The Tornado, however, is more of a reissue than a remix, bringing back the cult classic sounds made famous in the 90's.
The Tornado departs from the single-coil chime Fender's are generally known for, and replaces it with a more aggressive, full-bodied presence. Perfect for rock, grunge, or anything that needs a bit more grit, you might call this model the "missing link". Individual volume and tone controls offer dynamic and tonal versatility, while the slim C-shape neck lends itself to a more modern, comfortable playing experience. The Paranormal series not only freshens up some of the classic parts of Fender history, but also does it in style and at an extremely accessible price.
