The Universal Audio UAFX Enigmatic ’82 Overdrive Special Amplifier Pedal is a premium amp-emulation pedal inspired by the highly sought-after D-style overdrive amplifiers of the early 1980s. It captures the distinctive combination of pristine, dynamic cleans and smooth, harmonically rich overdrive associated with these boutique-style amps.
The Enigmatic ’82 is designed to reproduce the feel of a responsive tube amplifier, with a highly touch-sensitive character that reacts naturally to picking dynamics and changes in guitar volume. It can move from sparkling, articulate cleans to singing sustain and creamy overdrive, making it especially versatile for blues, fusion, jazz, and roots-oriented players.
