If you don’t mind a guitar with some miles on it, this Yamaha LL500 has a ton of character and even more tone to show for it.
Let’s just call it what it is—this one’s in fair condition and it shows it. Plenty of dings, dents, scratches, and some honest wear all over. There’s noticeable rash on the back, and the neck has a few bumps and bruises from years of play. Nothing pretty about it, but nothing that stops it from doing its job either.
There’s also some interesting stuff going on with the internal bracing. It looks like some kind of cloth material (almost like cheesecloth) attached in there. Not entirely sure if it was part of an old repair or reinforcement, but it’s there. That said, the guitar is structurally sound and holding up just fine.
Now here’s the important part—it sounds good. That solid Sitka top paired with solid Indian rosewood back and sides gives you a nice, bright, piano-like response with plenty of depth. It’s got volume, it’s got character, and it’s clearly been played enough to open up. It also has a pickup so it’s ready to plug and play for your next gig or session.
Big jumbo body means it moves air easily. Great for strumming, singer-songwriter stuff, or anyone who wants a full, rich acoustic tone without overthinking it.
At the end of the day, this isn’t a case queen. it’s a guitar you grab, play, and not worry about. And honestly, that’s where something like this shines. Comes with a case. The guitar weighs 5lbs.
