MG Series mixers use Yamaha’s studio-grade D-PRE preamps

The same smooth, Class-A, low-distortion pre’s used in many of Yamaha’s high-performance consoles. With full 48-volt phantom power on all mic inputs — along with a -26dB pad and 80-Hz high pass filter — every MG can handle a broad range of mics. Add built-in 3-band EQ, and you can expect pro-caliber audio in any situation.

Why We Like the Yamaha MG Series

Now in its third incarnation, the MG series mixers feature technology from Yamaha's high-end mixers, but on a consumer budget. Studio-quality preamps and solid construction that lasts for years are what we’ve come to expect of the MG Series.

The D-Pre, discreet Class-A mic preamps found in the MG mixers are standouts. Single-knob compressors and very musical 3-band EQ sections offer precise dynamic and tonal control. All models include Aux sends for monitoring, headphone output and effects patching.
