The Yamaha TRBX 605 5-string bass looks great with its flame maple top and natural satin finish. It offers a super-comfortable 5-ply maple/mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard. Straight string pull improves tuning; the satin finish keeps it smooth and easy to play.
Twin dual-coil, dual-pole pickups run through a preamp with 3-band EQ—or you can choose passive mode with the flick of a switch. A low-battery LED alerts you in the event of power loss.
The high-mass die-cast bridge, output jack, and tuners are all heavily plated to give you years of maintenance-free service.
Why We Like the TRBX Series:
These basses play and sound like much more expensive instruments. The necks feel fantastic and the active electronics deliver punch and tonal flexibility we don't normally see at this price point. It would be hard to recommend a bass with better features for the money.
